These cancers have an overall 5-year survival rate of 20% or less. Pancreatic, gallbladder, cancer of the heart, stomach, adrenal, GBM, esophageal, mesothelioma, angiosarcomas and lymphangiosarcomas. Also most adult cancers in a child are usually fatal. And Panda is correct about rare cancers.

Pancreatic, lung, ovarian and certain brain cancers have very low survival rates.
The reason is that detection is difficult before the cancer becomes advanced.

pancreatic,only about 5% of pancreatic cancer patients will be alive 5 years after the cancer is found.

Esophageal cancer has a 5% survival rate once it is in Stage IV.

Rare cancers have the smallest percentage of survival because of lack of significant research and few if any treatment options.
