Will Your Hair Be Nicer, When It Comes Back After Losing It To Cancer?

My MIL has cancer and was losing her hair. She just got a wig and had her hair shaved off at the cancer center. Will her hair be much nicer, when it comes back in this time?

I will come in like a baby's hair, but it won't stay like that. Mine changed a lot and I don't like it.

That is one of the surprises after treatment is over.
Some hair comes in a different color than before.
Some comes back curly rather than the straight it was before, or straight when it used to be curly.
Some comes back all grey.
Mine came back in the same as it was except healthier, and before I had a few grey streaks.... there is no grey now at all.

Depends on the aggressiveness of the treatment as well.

There's really no telling what will happen in individual cases.

Mine grew back curly, but it's straight again now - I don't know if that's from the weight of it now it's long again though.

Some people's hair grows back a different colour; generally though, grey stays grey unfortunately.

Most people I know who've had chemotherapy have had their hair grow back pretty much the same as it was before; some have noticed an improvement.

Mine is thinner than it was before chemo, but as I had very thick hair that doesn't matter much.

there is really no telling if it will be nicer because your epithilial cells are always changing. only time can tell.
